Hi Vaughan,

I'm not very much of a spreadsheet user, but I checked out section 21.4 of
the window eyes manual, and it's all about defining headers in excel which
will be automatically read for you as you navigate around an excel
spreadsheet. It looks very powerful, and while I wrote something for
headers of a Word table, I may revisit that macro and make it work more like
this does, as it seems quite flexible. It should do everything you want,
but let us know how you find it.

hth,

Chip

Subject: Accessible Excel Forms

Hello list members.

I use a particular spreadsheet, and according to the whims of the moment -
its columns increase in number as more information is wanted. I cannot
remember each column title, but I understand that it is possible to create
accessible Excel forms in a manner similar to Word. I am not the designer of
the spreadsheet - I just enter the data. Can anyone help with this? We
are using Office 2003 and although I have started out applying similar steps
for Excel as if it was a Word document - it is clearly not the same in terms
of the options available and of course - a Word processor document is
different from a spreadsheet. Also says something about my lack of Excel
knowledge. The objective is to tab to each column, have its title spoken
regardless of how far down the column I am positioned and then just enter
the data required for that column.

Would be glad to receive links to resources along with general advice about
what other Window-eyes users do.

In addition to Office 2003 - this is Window-eyes v7.2 still on Windows 2000.

Many thanks.

Vaughan.
