Miranda is like the mother of chat. It looks like. I don`t know how the chat groups in Miranda works, but there is an option to search for groups. I did not fix it myself. Msn, Skype and facebook chat works very well and you have options to configure other IM services and whatever you want. IF you install the Miranda script from Stephen Clower https://www.gwmicro.com/Script_Central/Scripts/Script_Details/?scriptid=1223 . At least, that is what it looks like. I have this guide saved and paste it here:
The Miranda IM scripts add accessibility features to make the Miranda instant messaging client more speech friendly for Window-Eyes. The program can be obtained from www.miranda-im.org. The scripts currently enable Window-Eyes to speak incoming and outgoing messages inside the active chat window, allow the user to configure when and how messages are spoken, and provide hotkeys to read specific messages. The default assignments for the chat window hotkeys are: Review entire message window: ` Review most recent to tenth most recent message: Alt-1 through Alt-0 respectively Configure Miranda IM Scripts: Control-Shift-P This package was tested with the latest stable Unicode build of Miranda IM 0.8. Furthermore, it is recommended that the default chat plugin (SRMM.dll) is used, though some third-party replacements such as TabSRMM will also work reasonably well. Ensure the 'Show Names' item under the messaging log options is checked; otherwise, the scripts may not read new text correctly. For a more accessible contact list, Window-Eyes users are encouraged to use the BCList plugin from http://www.pescuma.org/miranda/bclist/lang/all/. Users who are brand new to Miranda are welcome to listen to a guide that walks through the installation and setup process at http://www.steve-audio.net/audio/miranda.mp3. And the Skype pluigin for Miranda is good. Attached. Put it in Miranda plugins and enable it in Miranda, options, plugins. If the attached do not work, google it. Thanks to Stephen Clower and the man who made the clist_blind.dll Take care Terje Strømberg If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
