Not all audio books are created equal, and not all will work with VoiceOver. Some choices that should work are Audible, and iBooks.

Subject: OT anyone know how to get the iphone to read e-books?

Sorry this is off topic, but I was hoping someone here knew the steps to
get an I phone 3gs to read off an e-book.
The people I have talked to seam to think all I needed was the i phone
switched to speach mode and down loading the app for which ever e-book I
was reading. either they forgot a step or I need some other app as
well.
Anyone know what I need?just took
