Hi Patrick,

Window-Eyes does this differently, it uses a script to give you this
capability. so, you need the script named autocomplete. you may have it
already installed, and you just need to go into it's help dialog and adjust
it's settings, or you may need to download and install it (I just can't
remember if it comes pre-installed or not). the web address for downloading
it, if you need it, is:

I don't know what the problem with jaws is; you can check the windows
setting for this feature by manually looking at the "Use inline
AutoComplete" check box under the Advanced tab of the Internet Options
control panel. jaws requires this feature be turned on here; window-Eyes
will turn it on when you set the settings in the autocomplete macro.

hth,

Chip

Subject: IE and auto-completion

Hello,

Before I installed WE 7.2 on my Vista Premium 32 bit system, when I ran with
JAWS and I typed the first few letters in the address bar of IE, the system
would suggest various completion from my history. For example, I would type
cnn, and "cnn.com" would be suggested.

When I run with WE, now I can start an entry in the address bar, and decide
to change the ending to go to a slightly different place, the computer beeps
at me and will not allow me to type in a suggested entry. Also, I now have
to type out everything explicitly when I run with JAWS.

I need to have this fixed.

Patrick
