Hi Christian. The upgrade is definitely worth it. Apart from the fact that you do have to learn a number of new things, comparing it with Windows XP just isn't worth the effort. Differences include a very different Control Panel which is a web based interface, a very powerful and customisable startmenu with search options. I think the rationale that you are using is correct: to take advantage of new hardware, especially more efficient memory usage, better device installations and as far as the user interface is concerned - generally very accessible to Window-eyes. I speculate that Window-eyes v8 will enhance access to Windows Seven as one of its priorities.
Like all these things however: I guess you need to decide whether your day-to-day usage justifies the expense. Best of luck. I am still with XP and my system is working fine, but I am thinking about upgrading to get support for newer hardware and also find out what's happening with Windows. Just want to hear your comments!
