Sometimes you have to use the mouse keys to click inside the combo box. This is unfortunate, but that's the way it is. So use the mouse pointer route to cursor key then the left click key. You may even have to use the mouse up/down keys to have things properly read. Oh, I should say: Make sure you do this with browse mode turned off.
