The Kindle isn't even in the same device class. While the other
devices are displayless devices designed specifically for use by the
blind, the Kindle is an e-ink display ebook reader designed for the
mass market by Amazon and wasn't even remotely accessible until the
second version. It still needs some work to be completely accessible
and thanks to the paranoia of the Author's Guild publishers have been
granted the ability by Amazon to block the text to speech
functionality on titles they don't wish to allow to be read this way.
There are ways around this, but they take some effort to make each
title that has been restricted work.
Regards,
Chris

Hi all. Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the Kendel pretty much
same as the book sense or the victory stream?

Subject: accessible kindle application for the pc
Hello all,
I just got this link from another list I'm on. It leads to a page
describing the accessible kindle application for the pc. They note
that this has been tested with nvda and JAWS; WE was not mentioned.
Has anybody tried it with WE
