Hi David, To make a paragraph (which is anything which ended with a return) into a level 1 heading, just press control-alt-1 when your positioned on it. control-alt-2 makes it a level 2 heading, and so on. I'm afraid working with lists is harder, and is too much to run through here. you can look this up on the web, or contact me off list if you're interested in learning to use Word (any version) from e-books. hth, Chip

I am in the process of converting an article from a plain .txt file, into a webpage. Seems to me, that it will be easily done, in MSWord 2003. I loaded the .txt file into Word, and then choose to save it as a web page. The file saved perfectly as an .htm, that I could open in IE, with no problems. Yet, I have little experience with formatting text, in word. Could someone please instruct me, on how to make a certain phrase into a header, that can be searched for, with the H command in browse mode, when the htm file is loaded. So, I need to know, what I have to perform in Word, that will save this phrase as a heading. Secondly, I need to know, how to build a List in Word. Again, a List, that can be searched for, and browsed through, with the normal S, and I commands - when the file is loaded in IE. I did look under the Format menu, in Word 2003. Yet, I might not have looked close enough. If anyone has some experience in doing the above, PLEASE, would you mind educating me quickly? Thanks alot! BTW, I do stress the fact, I am using Word 2003.
