I did speak with someone involved in it's development some time back, and he
was a blind screen reader user. I understood him to say that they were
trying to develop it with the idea that no special scripts or set files
would be needed.

so, why don't you ask them this question, or better yet, see if they have a
demo version you can try?

Subject: dot set files

i hesitate to ask this- - I am not up to date on scripts and the latest
versions and I don't want to be laughed at. Anyway -
For some time now I have been looking for a simple but complete accounting
program that I can use with WinEyes. I need a check book,. invoice creating
and tracking, customer and supplier tracking -- just the ordinary. I don't
need payroll or "investment monitoring" and budgeting sort of takes care of
itself. I have tried several - - the latest was Quicken - and they just
don't work with a screen reader. I have been told that the engineers won't
let information out to GW Micro so no way to do it.

My latest cry in the wilderness resulted in a name-- Cash Manager- - a
program from New Zealand that claims to be usable with all serious screen
readers, and they have a report from the New Zealand blind people that says
yes, it worked.

I take that with several grains of salt- - so the first thing I need to make
it work for me is to find out if anyone here has tried it, and are there any
dot set files for it. I hope so- - I really want to be able to do all of my
business myself.

So if anyone knows much about this, or wants in on it- - write me Please!

BTW - -the program's web site is < <http://www.accomplishglobal.com/>

Thanks - - Mlelita
