Hi Marvin: You were right, Google was a good friend in this case. In fact, I learned that I could uncheck it from my MSConfig without any adverse consequences, so I did that and, guess what, that pesky "cfsw" dialog that I was complaining about, did not appear when I rebooted, so for those listers who indicated that they get that dialog, I think I have found how to get rid of it permanently.
