Hi Sam, I agree with you. Brows mode really needs to be fixed, but I understand the reasons why it can not be done in 7.5. I'm hoping that a brows mode upgrade takes place when IE9 comes out!

I personally would love a browse mode rewrite because that's what I personally need the most as well. However, please try to put your self in GW's Shoes for a moment. They have a large pool of users that all need things to be done asap. We all want access to every thing right now! GW must create a road-map for the future of Wineyes and they must do so in a way that gets the most done for the most users as well as prioritize items to do in the best way for there programmers. They also must make payroll ... they must pay all there bills ... it goes on and on ... I run a small business and see the issues they are dealing with to some degree! Last but, not least they have provided several upgrades for free. We need to start giving them credit for all they do and we must give them a break ... we want every thing and in the real world it's just not possible. They have added scripting now called apps ... this capability many felt was not a good move at the time. However, now I am going to mention all the good that has come from scripting. Remember that the scripting/apps can now progress at the same time as the new releases of window eyes. This means we get lots of new features/application support from scripters/apps developers from with in and from outside gw it self. This I say is huge! Example: I have a product that my company develops that moved to the QT graphics language. This is really bad because in the past QT apps didn't speak with WE at all. However, since scripting now there is a QT app written by Stephen Clower that makes my app talk. It's not perfect however, thanks to GW scripting and Stephen's app I can now carry on at my company and a train reck has been averted! This for me is fantastic news. Now the GW staff/programmers can keep right on working on the next release of WE while at the same time I support my software and the kind folks writing scripts can progress at the same time as well. Wow! Sounds like a win! Win! Win for all of us. Think of it, we have much better access to winamp thanks to Jeff. We have: Speech enhancements for Adobe Audition 3. We have: Enhances the support for the AOL Instant messenger client We have: Look up product bar codes We have: Provides enhancements to Microsoft Access. We have: Progress Bar Indicator ?We have: Enhancements for Skype We have: Scripts for the very powerful Station Playlist Studio application used for internet broadcasting and radio stations. We have: Enhancements for the TeamTalk voice chat client We have: Enhance access to Mozilla Thunderbird We have: Provides a virtual text view of any window We have: This script provides enhancements for Windows Live Mail. BTW: I am only naming a few! Now, we need to put some trust in the GW staff and realize they have had and continue to have the best screen reader on the planet! We can all agree that we want more, more, more! The question is do you believe that GW and the GW staff are doing there very best to make that happen? I do! and I am looking forward to this release like none other! I personally believe that apps will get better and better, I believe that gw will build the infrastructure required to move Window Eyes to the next level as we go foward in to the future! I have remained silent on this because I don't want to create a firestorm. However, this has gone on way to long now and I think we need to spend our time focusing on the WE7.5 beta and make the beta sycle the best we can! Any one with me?!
