Has anyone installed Windows 7 on a machine, a clean install since I have XP
Pro currently? I would like to do it without having sighted help and document
the process using Windoweyes for other programmers on a couple of blind
programming websites. Any suggestions or places I can read up on the process
would be a big help. If WindowEyes works as well with Visual Studio as it did
with prior versions I am touting it as the best screen reader to use for
programmers in this arena so am upgrading to Windows 7 and then installing the
Visual Studio version loaded with the Web Platform installer. If I can get this
done without sighyted help using WindowEyes I hope to create a detailed
tutorial of the effort. Oh ya, the new remote help feature of 7,.5 should be a
major incentive since I will be able to help and train other programmers to use
Visual Studio, Sql Server and Web technicals if they get stuck on a tutorial so
long as they use WindowEyes - a pretty good incentive to use WindowEyes if
working in a Microsoft environment.
So, let me know if you have anything that might help me install and configure a
clean version of Windows 7 using WindowEyes. Currently I run WE 7.2 - demo
version.
To the GW guys, I might buy WE when and if it works as I think it should to get
the job done in the Microsoft Windows / Visual Studio environment since I have
been waiting for support for the new technicals which have been forthcoming for
about 3 years now.
That said, I am looking forward to the 7.5 or 8.0 release which sound like what
I have been waiting for.
Thanks Guys:
