Hi Keith,

I'm running Vista now but I also had this problem when I was using XP a
few years ago. The solution I found was to delete the Guest account that
you saw under User Accounts in control pannel. Once I did this my
computer started normally and I was taken directly to the desktop and
didn't have to log in. I hope this helps.

Regards Steve.

I then went to control panel, and opened user accounts. There were two
accounts listed One named Keith Steinbach, computer administrator, and
one called guest, which was turned on.

Once again, there is nothing refering to a phantom account or anything.

Any further help to get rid of the log on screen would be apprecaited.
Should I just uninstall the .net framework? I know I need the
framework to run/install dvdvideosoft software.

Regards Steve
