Hi Keith, I'm running Vista now but I also had this problem when I was using XP a few years ago. The solution I found was to delete the Guest account that you saw under User Accounts in control pannel. Once I did this my computer started normally and I was taken directly to the desktop and didn't have to log in. I hope this helps.

There were two accounts listed One named Keith Steinbach, computer administrator, and one called guest, which was turned on. Once again, there is nothing refering to a phantom account or anything. Any further help to get rid of the log on screen would be apprecaited. Should I just uninstall the .net framework? I know I need the framework to run/install dvdvideosoft software.
