Agreed. I'm getting similar behavior in windows 7 32-bit. I can't
directly compare to the old bersion, but the competition's latest
version is a good bit faster when arrowing through my c: drive in
windows explorer. I've set my synthesizer to eloquence for the test,
and it was the same as with dec express. I'm running a amd dual-core
4200 chip with 4gb of ram under windows 7 32-bit, with only thunderbird
in the background. This is also a fresh boot, so it should be as fast
as it can be.

Hi,
Made no changes since I installed the beta but I find it sluggish when
moving through list boxes such as windows explorer and the index of
outlook express messages. Sometimes it takes almost a half second to
voice the new position.
I'm using windows xp sp3, 512 mega bytes ram, (maybe a little more as I
think I had a little more put in), the Reed setting for eloquence is the
voice. BTW, I changed to the gw voice an no appreciable change. Also, as
I review this message, it seems a little sluggish when arrowing up and
down through this message. Compared to 7.2 there is definately a
sluggishness creeping in, especially in listboxes and the index of email
messages.
