In previous versions of WE, I have been able to use word mode in the
keyboard menu and hear the word pronounced when I press a non
alphabetic character. I think this is still working, but now speech
is interrupted before the word is fully pronounced if I continue
typing. It was much better before with speech interrupted, because I
could detect mistyped words from the pronunciation. Now I would have
to slow my typing to accomplish this.
