I've continued to use PMMail even on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and have not
experienced the problems mentioned so do not believe PMMail is likely
the cause. I have had significant problems with IE 8 on a 32-bit machine, but
believe there may have been additional factors. There are some issues with
PMMail under Windows 7, though, but it has to do with folder permissions. For
example, opening attachments directly doesn't work because PMMail can't
create the "TEMP" folder below the PMMail folder in the program Files folder
because it doesn't have permission. It also does not support some of the more
modern mail account protocols such as SSL, so there is good reason to change,
but I have not seen anything that indicates it causes instability. I was very
surprised to find it still works.

Best regards,

Steve
