I was able to save the startup settings by creating a shortcut on the desktop and setting it to run as administrator. I then shut down WE and started it using the shortcut. Going in to the WE control panel, I changed the startup options and pressed control s it said options saved. I pressed the save button as well, so I don't know which did the trick, but the administrator option seemed to work.
When running in the normal mode, the set options button, requires user account permission to make changes. I wonder if the after logon and save option should be under that same kind of control. Speaking of logging on, I can't find a place to access the WE settings, i.e. speech rate, keyboard echo, etc when logging on. I don't see the profile used for that. Any suggestions?
