Peggy,

What version of WE are you using? When I had 7.2 installed, I did get a script
for winamp that would only work with 7.5, and it would abort when attempting to
install while I was using 7.2. In fact, when I looked at the status of the
script with alt-f, m, m, it showed it was stopped. So I updated to the beta
and that script is working okay, though I've not tried it extensively. So if
you are using 7.2 you'll need to use the winamp script that came out just
before the most recent one. I don't know how to find older scripts on script
central though. If you made it a habit of saving the .wepm files, you'll have
the latest script that worked with winamp and 7.2 So it depends on what
version of WE you are using.

Subject: Still problems updating scripts or apps

Hi again, guys. I'm still having problems updating scripts or apps, or
whatever the proper term is.

It started a few days ago when I saw an update to the Winamp script. It
installed just fine, but now when Window-Eyes starts, I get the message that
the script requires Window-Eyes 7.5 and that the script is aborting. I figured
no problem, I could wait until 7.5. After all, I used Winamp before the
script, right? Well, I just updated the install packages script from App
Central, and was looking through the new scripts, and saw one for Dropbox that
I thought I'd try. But when I clicked install, I was told the script had not
been validated, or something like that. Is this a problem with scripts on my
machine, or does it mean that the links to the scripts aren't valid anymore and
the Install Packages script can't find them? Or just what's going on? <smile>
