well I know this is not going to help you but I followed all the steps you
provided for reproducing the problem with the game and was not able to do
so.
I went to deck 7 as you describe. arrowed left four times and was on deck 3
as I expected to be. nothing was read accept the information for stack 3.

There is definitely a change in behavior in this application. Run it
and arrow across the card stacks. Try doing it quickly, say from the
seventh, hit your left arrow four times. You will hear stack six read,
then the stack three, even with interrupt enabled. This definitely
slows down the process of playing the game, and it may indicate
something that will appear in more important places.
Other than that, the beta has never hung when coming out of hibernate,
and I've only had one or two mis-behaviors with firefox. It has been
several days since I've considered taking a hammer to this computer.
