hi, the msn extension app no longer works. it will need to be updated or gw micro or someone will have to make a new app to accomplish the same preps. after you sign in etc. and here the word window you will probably find that the focus is no longer windows live messenger. so use the system tray command insert s to get to windows live messenger. hit alt+d on it. you should now be in the contact screen and should be able to arrow to the option you want. hth

I kept a couple of your emails around regarding Windows Live Programs, particularly Windows Live Messenger 2011. For two days now I have tried to sign into Windows Live Messenger without success. I have Windows Live Messenger pinned to the start menu along with Microsoft Outlook 2010, Microsoft Word 2010, and some other programs. When I press enter on Windows Live Messenger it launches and I hear available, sign in to Windows Live Messenger. I press enter and hear the Windows Live Messenger sound along with share something new and that I have 588 messages in my inbox. I use Outlook 2010 and don’t have that many messages in the inbox. When I press enter I hear the word window and nothing else. I am running Window-eyes 7.5 beta one under Windows 7 Home Premium. I have had the Windows Live Essentials package installed since it was released last year and have been waiting for the release of Window-eyes 7.5 beta one so I could use Windows Live Messenger again. I will speak more on that in another message soon. right now though I want to talk about windows live mail and messenger. first support for windows live mail is pretty good. updated to the latest version and the ribbon interface is pretty cool. the problem is that window-eyes is not reliably reading the ribbon. windows live messenger uses it’s own brand of auto complete. it does not use the standard method of doing this so window-eyes doesn’t read the offered options in boxes where autocomplete is available. cursor tracking in the compose edit box is reliable when reading relative to the cursor how-ever when you use cursoring keys such as up and down nothing is herd. you have to issue a read line command. the spell checker used buy windows live mail is much like the one used buy word. so a set file should be included to function like word does. you can read the message headers with the alt number command in the list view but unlike outlook or outlook express there is no way to read them while in the message reading window. also for rss articles we need a means of fiding and clicking the view on line button so we can get to the full article. brows mode works good in this program better then it did in the previous version. if you had a message with links in the previous version of windows live mail you might have to turn brows mode off tab to the first link and then turn brows mode on again before the brows mode buffer sees the links. this is no longer the case. now windows live messenger. I installed it and was able to read contacts labels on line off o line away etc. while I was in the contact list. how-ever I do not here anything from the alerts when some one logs in etc. also am not able to read new messages. in the history edit box the cursor does not track. when you issue a window-eyes command you find your self back in the input edit box. yet another reason we need more aggressive keyboard handling. window-eyes should have got those commands not windows live messenger. I also was not told who was writing a message. the windows live messenger extension script does not work so we do need a new app for reviewing past messages. so if these results are not what I should expect from the beta and I suspect they are not what setting or changes should I make to resolve these issues. thank you!
