hi, not sure I really understand the question. associating set files to
programs has been around from the start of window-eyes. basically you
connect a set file to a window or modual of a program thus allowing you to
have sets for different parts of the program. so lets say your in your
spell checker it needs a different set file then the text editor. same
program different modual. so one file might be called my text editor.set
and then the other file might be called my spell checker.set. so when
window-eyes sees your in the editor it will load my text editor.set then
when you go to the spell checker it will load my spell checker.set. it gets
this information from a .we file that has the same name as the program. so
in this case it might be called MyTextEditor.exe so the we file will have
the same first name and will load set files as needed.

Hi all.
So, what does the association item exactly do? This was not shown in the
webinar.
Take care.

I was experimenting withAssociation, item 11 in the Control Panel. I
discovered that the Ms Word 2010 set was not associated with MS word
2010, but rather, Explorer.set was. I tried to correct this, but the
change wouldn't stick even after changes were supposedly saved to disk.
I finally reinstalled Window-
Eyes version 7.2 and then the beta. After reinstallation of the beta,
the association is still not correct. File association is now very
confusing, unlike 7.2. I must be missing something. I believe the
association was correct when I downloaded the beta the first time. I
just checked, and Out Express is associated correctly. What could have
happened to mS Word 2010? Sorry for the long post.
