Have you tried to use the WE - mouse? Insert - mumeric + on the numeric keyboard if using a standard keyboard. Dont remember the key strokes for a lapt top.

Restarting Window-Eyes will sometimes resolve this, but not allways. Restarting the computer is then nessesary. This was sometimes happening in WE7.2, but seems to me, that is happens more often.
