Under mouse settings, track mouse with focus global, Be sure this is set to off. I don't know if this is your problem, but I accidentally had this set to on, and many listviews and treeviews did not speak for me either. If this works, you can turn track mouse with focus back on for individual programs such as notepad and word. Hope this helps, Jeff Weiss
