Keith, About your second delay in geting read to end going. See if the "read to me" script is active. Press ctrl-backslash. then, alt-a for the apps menu. then. arrow down to the "read to me" script. Then. Press the right arrow to find Options and enter on that. If the enable read to me checkbox is checked, uncheck it. That will disable the script and should give you quicker read to end startup. Make sure to choose the OK button afterwards.
If that checkbox is checked, it allows you to select a different voice, if you wish, for read to end speech. BTW, GW, wouldn't it be better to call the script "read to end" instead of "read to me". Perhaps a separate developer has created the script/app, though. My first issue is that there is usually around a second's delay from the time I press the Read-To-End command and the time WindowEyes speech begins. I noticed this in 7.2 and now in the Beta. My second issue is that sometimes, when I press enter to open an Outlook 2010 message and then press Ctrl to silence the informational speech, Read-To-End will not read the message. I have to Alt-Tab away from the message and back in in order to read it. I am using Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit, on a Fujitsu Tablet PC. Thanks for any help.
