In order to receive GW tweets, you do need to have a twitter account first. If you want to receive this on your phone, you then have to set up to receive them on your phone in your account. As my husband did my setup for me, I'm not sure how this is done except that it's done in the account settings I think.
Anyone who has a twitter account and done this can comment further on this. As you can see from my signature, I have a twitter account.
