Had to comment on this twitter thing. I am somewhat of a news junky as my B.A. was in journalism. Anyway with all the stuff going on in Egypt, Libya, and New zealand, twitter often gived detail and color you can't get from the american news services and sometimes materials that are reported by them much later. The same goes for tweets from companies like gw-micro. Not everyone cares to spend the time reading tweets and checking foreign news services but they may not get the details I do or as soon as I do in some instances. IT's a matter of choice. No one forces one to use social networks etc but if you do there are some great perks. If you don't it's like the reading of a blog what you missed maybe some one will tell you about in passing you will pick it up if you do or it will just pass by in the stream of ongoing information like emails filtered out through the spam box.
