hey tim, I have mine set to have messages in their own window, and I
upgraded because it did it for me. Unfortunately I'm running out the
door, but I know the option is there, possibly under a display or view
tab? I'm really sorry I can't be of more help at present. but yes, that
is doable. as for the text being typed over, I've never noticed that.

Oh boy, I went and did it. I upgraded to TB 3.1, and it's not as bad
as I thought. The only major annoyance is that I now need to hit
ctrl+w to close each message, rather than just hitting escape. Is
there any way to change this?
I thought of delving into the configuration editor but don't want to
waste my time if there's an easier way.
And as I write this, I'm noticing some of my text being replaced/not
reading correctly. This is confirmed with both the mouse and cursor.
Is this a known issue?
Cheers,
Tim
