Steve and GW staff,
This is primarily regarding your tree view comment. i wish I knew the
answer, but I have noticed this in a lot of tree views and some list
views. Window-eyes reads an item that I might have just passed over, or
one that passed ahile back, or simply one that I didn't pass over. After
that, it reads the current item in focus. this is rather annoying, I
can't figure out if the item that was not in focus is flashing like a
tooltip, or if window-eyes just hasn't caught up with the speed at which
I'm moving through the tree or list view? I'm on a quadcore with 8 gb of
ram and win7-64, so it should be able to keep right along with me, no?
Steve, if this is not what you had going on in the manual, forgive me,
but I felt it necessary to bring up.

Richard and gw staff,
You're missing one little step. After entering your search phrase, "user
windows", in your example, tab twice to the "display" button and press
the space bar on it. Now the listbox will show your results. Arrow to
the result you want, hit enter, then tap the f6 key to move over to the
pain that shows the actual manual. When done reading what you want, you
can hit f6 key again to move back to the left side of the screen where
you made your selection.
Gw folks, I just noticed that when I use Richard's example of "user
windows", I get a listbox that shows the same result twice, after
reading the section of the manual and going back to the left side of the
screen with f6, as I arrow up and down through the treeview, I sometimes
hear the line I left read again. This line that reads twice can varry,
that is, what read once can read twice if I arrow around in the tree
view. I can't tell if it's reading the line I just left or if the full
treeview isn't displayed and as I arrow I bring up additional parts of
the treeview and window eyes reads the item twice, but it's definately
reading variable lines of the treeview twice.

*Subject:* Trouble reading Help-Index-Control-Listbox in the
window-Eyes Manual
Good afternoon:
Is anyone else experiencing difficulty reading the
Help-Index-Control-Listbox in the Window-Eyes manual?
I’ll give you a step-by-step to see what I mean:
Before starting the step-by-step, make sure you have advanced
options enabled.
1. Open the window-Eyes Control Panel with CTRL-BACKSLASH;
2. Open the window-Eyes manual with ALT-H, followed by RIGHT-ARROW
followed by M;
3. If you are in the Tree-View of the User Manual, hit CTRL-TAB;
4. You should land in an Edit Box which prompts you to enter a keyword;
5. Type “user windows” and hit tab;
6. At this point I hear “Help Index Control Listbox,” but using the
up and down arrows
Has no apparent effect and Window-Eyes does not read the List entry.
Am I expecting Window-Eyes to speak when it shouldn’t? Or, is my
computer the problem?
I’m using Window-Eyes 7.5 beta on an HP notebook running Vista Home
premium ‘2 bit.
