Keith,
I find the main Facebook page difficult to navigate, so I use the mobile
site. You can access it simply by typing m period before facebook.com. I've
learned that other sites, such as Caringbridge and meetup.com, can also be
accessed by first typing m period. The sites are similar, but because they are
designed for mobile phones, they are more streamlined and easier to manage.
With Facebook, there are some things you can only do on the main page, such
as taking people off your news feed. I think you can sign up from the mobile
site, though. you may want sighted help at first, while you're learning the
site. Facebook also changes things regularly, so I still need sighted
assistance now and then.
