Sandra, I had the same problem with the 7.5 beta and IE8 running on XP Pro SP3. I finally gave up and went back to IE6.
No one could seem to duplicate the problem at GW so I surrendered. Sandra, Window-Eyes can either reside in the notification area or the task bar. The notification area is the technically correct term now used for what is also known as the system tray.
