Subject: Going Back to E 9 and App Updates

Hi all. Hmmm, where do I start, smile.

Stephen, thank you very much for pointing out a couple of the keystrokes
used to better interact with I e 9 and Window-eyes. Yes, indeed, Jack, I e
9 is much faster than I e 8. Yes, you're right. It does take some getting
used to with the progress indicator not working as it usually does in I e 8.
I remembered using the alt-n key combination, but I wasn't aware of the
insert-j combination, smile. I vaguely remember using the control-j key
combination sometime back, smile. Thanks again for letting us know about
some of the hotkeys we'll need to learn when using I e 9.

Steve, you are correct in stating that the check for updates on app start is
not functioning correctly. I stated that I was having a similar problem
when trying to test the feature when installing the Winamp app update. Jeff
Bishop mentioned to me privately that a fix is forthcoming, great! When? I
promise I won't ask that question again, at least not on this list, smile.
I am sure I mentioned this issue on the list, who knows. Thank you
Stephen, for further explaining why the check for updates feature has been
modified. I didn't exactly like being inundated with dialog after dialog,
smile. Actually, I thought I remember my settings to check for updates
staying on check on app start even though the feature has been modified. It
was modified so it won't yet work, ha ha ha. Ok, enough already.

Mike M.

P.S. Hey, I have to vent my frustrations somehow on this list in a nice
way, smile. Like you, Steve, the only way I knew of an update for the
Winamp app was to check in the add remove apps dialog. . .
