Well, great as window-eyes is, it wouldn't make much sense because the NLS player is just that, a player. I think a lot of folks are wanting a lot more out of the player than it can produce. The NLS wants to keep this player very simple so that even the non-tech savvy folks can operate it. I have a Kingston 8 gb Data Traveler 101 flash drive, and it fits quite neatly in the front cartridge slot. That way it's not in the way and it won't get bumped or anything. As far as the tutorial goes, the simplest thing to do is create a folder called audio+podcasts and place the mp3 tutoril folder inside the audio+podcasts folder and things will work beautifully.

The reason I like the cartridges, I don't have the flash drive sticking out the side of the player.

I'mnot going to waste my money on an NLS cartridge when I can use a
16GB thumb drive. <smile>

Maybe they should put the loving Window-Eyes on the NLS players, then
it would read all the folders and file names and such. lol.

That is correct. The way I do it is, I have 2 cartridges, one I use for mp3's, the other for nls books. This way, I don't have to worry about the audio+podcasts folder when it comes to playing mp3's on my dtbm.

According to the information I received from NLS, you need to use the
folder if you plan to have NLS books and other non-NLS books on the same
cartridge.

You don't need to crreate a special folder. You can just copy the files to the cartridge and the NLS player will play it.

You do need to put it into a folder if you are copying the tutorial to a BookSense.

Hi folks:

Here is how to do this with a flash drive or the NLS cartridge if you own either one. After the audio+podcasts folder is created, just paste the folder of the Window eyes tutorial in to the audio+podcasts folder. Then, turn the power on for the NLS player and then wait. The player will scan the contents of the flash drive, or cartridge. Depending on what your using. On the advanced NLS player, press the next button to go forward, or the previous button to go back a chapter for a tutorial. If your using the standard player, press the rewind key to go back, or the fast forward key to move forward.
