You should have no problems using Acrobat Reader X known as 10.

After downloading and installation is all complete, pull down your
preferences and go to "General" and tab over to make sure "Protected Mode"
is  unchecked. Tab to "OK" and your PDF files should be able to be read with
no problems.

That is what I had to do.

I just got an e mail to upgrade my adobe acrobat reader, version 9, to
version 10. I was about to download it, but thought I'd better check with
