Hotspot is indeed coming along.

One big bug is that in the version shhipping with we 7.5, you can not import or export hotspots effectively.

The names export, but not what they do, the important stuff is missing.

But hopefully soon, this will be fixed.

This is one of the best scripts to be produced by gwmicro, because over-all it will allow folks to custom make their own interfaces for difficult programs without having to be a programming wizz.

Warmest regards.

Greetings,

The tutorials area on www.gwmicro.com has a brand new section dedicated to Window-Eyes apps. The first app-related guide demonstrates Hot Spot, which allows the Window-Eyes user to set up a list of custom actions to be performed in response to a key press. This demonstration introduces the Hot Spot app by walking through four examples of how it could be used to accomplish day-to-day tasks including automatically writing one's name, searching for something on the screen and clicking the mouse, inserting attachments in Outlook 2010, and opening HTML email messages in the default web browser from within Outlook. For more information about Hot Spot, visit www.gwmicro.com/apps/hotspot. The Hot Spot tutorial is available from http://www.gwmicro.com/Audio_Video_Archive/App_Tutorials/. If you subscribe to our podcast at www.gwmicro.com/podcast, you will automatically receive these guides as they are made available.

If you have ideas for other guides you would like to see or wish to demonstrate an app of your own, contact us by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling us at 260-489-3671.

Thanks and enjoy.
Steve
