Hello All: Here's a reply to the question about talking on the phone and hearing a screen reader at the same time. It's from a friend of mine who did telemarketing work for about 3 years. She also used an 80-cell Braille display.
Here's her reply: When I did telemarketing, we had headsets with microphone attached to them and boxes next to our computers that the headphones plugged into. We didn't actually dial our calls since they were computer generated but I wore the phone headset on one ear and then had ear buds connected to my computer and put one earbud in the other ear so I could hear my screenreader.
