I have a Hitachi 2TB, and I got it for under $100 from newegg.com.

It came with software which I just deleted off the drive and away I went. It's cheep plastic construction, but for that price I can get two of them and use one as a backup. Plus seegate is a good reputable brand with advance RMA replacement.
