Greetings,

To change Word verbosity:

1. Open Window-Eyes with Control-Backslash.
2. Press Alt-H to open the Help menu, and down-arrow until you hear "Show Advanced Options." if it is checked, press the Alt key to exit the menu. If it is not checked, press the Enter key to check it.
3. Press Alt-E to navigate to the settings tree.
4. Press V to move to Verbosity followed by the right-arrow to expand it.
5. Press O to move to Office followed once again by right-arrow to expand it.
6. Press W to move to Word again followed by the right-arrow.
7. Down-arrow through the different types of Word verbosity options, and when you find one you want to adjust, press the Tab key to move through the options related to each setting. 8. When you are satisfied with your changes, press Control-S to save them followed by the Escape key to minimize Window-Eyes.

Regards,
Steve

Hello everyone:

I am just getting started with Office 2010 – not sure how long it will
take me to get accustomed to all the changes. When I read a message or
enter text in Outlook 2010, I hear all the formatting information, such
as smart tag, style, column number, line number and on and on. I assume
that MS Word controls this. It is driving me nuts! Do I get rid of this
problem by using commands from within Word or from the WindowEyes Word app ?

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and use WE 7.5.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Fran
