I'm the president of our home owner's association and receive information,
reports, and other documents that have been scanned as well but I'm not a
corporation so would be interested in finding out if there were a low coast
way to gain access to such scanned documents as well. I don't suppose
"There's an app for that" is there?

Subject: Accessible OCR Software
Hello list,
There seems to be a growing habit, where I work at least, of sending out
scanned images of documents as PDF documents. I do know that I can, and
do, go back to the sender and bequest an accessible version of it. This
does not seem 100% effective.
Could you plese let me have recommendations of an OCR package that my
company could purchase to overcome this need. Clearly, it needs to be a
package which is accessible to Window-Eyes.
Many thanks.
Regards, John.
