The settings for column and row headers are specific to each spreadsheet,
not part of the set file. If you change the title of a spreadsheet, or copy
its info to another sheet then save it with another name, the settings for
column and row headers won't be there when you open the new sheet.

Luckily it's a simple thing to reset them and is explained well in the help
section but you will start by hitting alt-shift-h to bring up the dialog
that sets column and row header info.

Subject: Excel 2000 and WE 7.5 a bust

I wrote before about how my Excel from Office 2000 crashed with WE 7.5
whenever I tried to use an Excel spreadsheet. I tried everything that was
suggested to no avail. After using C Cleaner, it quit crashing with an
error but still acted as if the Excel program was closed when I hit an
arrow to move from cell to cell. I gave it up and installed a copy of MS
Office 2003 that we have. It works!

One little problem is that my spreadsheets no longer have the settings for
column and row headers. I don't know why the WE upgrade would overwrite
these settings, or if it was something else. I thought it was part of the
set file. At least this is a minor thing, but I wanted to let GW Micro
folks know about this in case others have a similar problem.

marilyn
