I think the best choice in this situation is the Microsoft Safety Scanner available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

It works great with Window Eyes and other screen readers too. The download contains all of the info it needs to detect and remove a virus or malware, no connection to the net is needed for the scanner to do its stuff. Note that after you download the file it works for only 10 days. That is to ensure that the virus and malware database is up to date.
