Well, it automatically looks for Headers to generate the TOC. In Word 2003
you need to define these with Headings, in Word2007 and greater with Styles.

Subject: Incerting a table of conttents

Dear all:
I posted a message here the other day, with relation to incerting a table of
contents into a document. I know that I need to go to the following steps
and exeecute them.
1. Go to the document.
2. Go to file, incert.
3. Select incert treference.
4. Enter on that.
My problem occurs then. It tells me that I have to select the text to copy
into the table of contents. How do I do this, as every time I highlight
text, and copy it to the clipboard, then go and do the steps listed above,
it displays the same result.
I was unable to stay subscribed to the list on Friday, due to the
significant amount of traffic that comes in this list on a daily basis, due
to loimits of how many emails I can receive, but have now received
permission to receive emails from now for the next 17 hours.
Cheers, Blake.
