This might be overkill, but if you install some flavor of Python, you can use its interactive shell as a calculator. I often do this as I can be much more precise when compared to the built-in Windows calculator.

*Subject:* WE and calculator

I have been trying to solve a challenge that I am having with the
built-in calculator of Windows. Running XP Sp3, in case that should
matter, with WE7.2.
When entering a calculation, WE does not read things much correctly.
Let's say, I want to have the number 404.92 divided by 71.80. So, I
enter 404, then press the decimal sign(period), and WE anounces 404.
Then I continue with 92, and when pressing the slash (devisor sign), WE
will say 'divided by 92'. But hello, that is not even the case. I have
actually entered 404.92 followed by the slash, and am now ready to enter
the divisor. Why then, does We announce it as 404 divided by 92?
If now, I go on with my calculation, entring 71 followed by the decimal
sign, WE will immediately tell me 71. And, when I finalize my entry with
80, followed by the Enter key for the Equals, that '80' is not even
spoken by WE. It simply goes on reading out the results.
It is quite frustrating to me, specially since I have tried to turn off
the different dictionaries, made sure that the Calc setfile is loaded;
and still cannot seem to have Window-Eyes read my calculations
correctly, as you would have expected from a talking calculator. Any
fixes that I might try? Or, anyone know of a good 'reliable' calculator
for the PC, that will read out the entries correctly?
Is this yet another of the 'rock-solids' of WE, that it cannot even read
simple calculations correctly? :)
