The fact is, GW have been very silent on the issue, which means that they are probably working on it, but choose not to release any information until they think it's ready. that's why I respect them because they don't want to make a promise, only to have to reverse it in the last minute. Yes, the web is an important part of the picture, but they felt being able to use the screenreader in a different way was more important. At the end of the day you can't please everybody, and as I've said in previous posts, if you're unsatisfied with GW Micro, you do have choices out there, both on windows and the mac platforms. It's up to you.

I have came to the conclusion that GW puts little priority of how well WE works for browsing the net. It has been in a so called rewrite mode for over three years now and only things like a rework of the WE UI are released as a great new feature of WE. The old UI was a pain to use but it is not a part of WE you have to deal with on a regular basis. Once you have your settings as you desire the UI isn't needed. On the other hand a poorly working browse mode has to be delt with on a regular bases if you surf the net at all. I do remember in a interview of Doug recently a comment like with the release of 7.5 maybe we can now address web issues. Does that mean that finally the browse mode is at the top of the list?
