Hello Robin,
There are no built-in Window-Eyes commands to read entire worksheet rows
and columns as this would not typically make much sense when spoken. One
place which is worth examining first is the very first row of the sheet.
This contains the column headers, and many times, more than one cell
will be merged so that the entire header can fit on the sheet and be
visually readable. Notice that Window-Eyes announces the range of the
merged cells. Most of the time, the data related to that header will be
under the first cell that is merged. So, for example, if the header took
over columns A through F, then the data associated to the header would
be under column A.
You can also review the screen with the mouse pointer, and the Virtual
View app accessed with Control-Alt-V may be another way to get a rough
idea of how the worksheet is visually laid out.
Regards,
Steve

HI Excel users.
I friend asked me a WE question I couldn't answer. In as much as I like
and use Excel, I've not really thought about doing what he's asking.
He's using Excel 2003 and he thinks WE 7.0 or 7.2
Is there a way in Excel to read the whole row or column at once, rather
than arrowing to each cell?
In general, how do you get a sense of the layout of a worksheet someone
else has given you, especially when you're not sure what cell the info
you may need will be in?
I typically build my own worksheets or they are a straight table, so
it's not often I need to figure out how things are laid out. This friend
is a construction project manager who is given budget worksheets and
other files.
Thanks.
