Jim,

1.  From within your program, bring up Window-Eyes with Control-Backslash.
2.  Go to the Help menu, and be sure "Show Advanced Options" is checked.
3.  Focus the settings tree with Alt-E.
4. Press K to get to the keyboard item, and expand the node with the right arrow.
5.  Down arrow to Punctuation.
6. Tab until you reach "Space Global Toggle Scope." Press the spacebar to set it to program.
7.  Tab to the Space combo box, and set it to Off.
8.  Press Control-S to save the change.
