Hi all!

I tend to keep it simple stupid if at all possible!

If by chance you are using an HP laptop, and it is one of the newer ones, tap the upper left hand corner of the mouse pad quickly twice. This usually turns off the mouse pad for your current session. This will need to be done again when booting up! This saves allot of fiddling around with the mouse controls. You then have the best of all worlds. If a sighted person needs to use the PC for whatever reason, he still has use of the mouse pad and you in turn can turn it off when you use the PC. This feature is now available for those who wish to use an external mouse and they want to turn the internal mouse pad off! This is a good deal! Some upper left hand corner icons may have a hole that one may see to tap that mouse pad off! Others may not have a discernable spot to tap but it is always as far as I know in the upper lefthand corner.

Most Acer computers accomplish this task with a function key and the F function keys at the top. Turning off the mouse in an Acer is usually function F7. A wind is function F3. My Samsung Netbook is function F10. These commands disable the mouse pad for the current session. One must do this over again on boot up.

Yes, it's in control panel.
If I remember correctly, it's under mouse.
Remember, though, I'm talking about the windows control panel itself,
not the window-eyes control panel.
