Chris,
When these popups appear, press F6 until your keyboard focus lands on
the group of buttons, e.g. Allow, Deny, Remember, etc. that you want to
access. Just as an FYI, Firefox 6 (which is in alpha testing at this
stage) seems to work even better than 5 does with notifications.

Steve

I finally solved my problem with the Plain Old Favorites add on,
Window Eyes was not finding the pop up with the allow button, NVDA
found it. There might have been some way to find it with WE, but after
trying many times, I just installed NVDA and got it to work.
Now, I've noticed that when I attempt to add a favorite, I have to
alt-tab away from the current window and then alt-tab back before the
Add Favorite box will show up. It seems that anything that pops up
with options or controls is not found automatically by Window Eyes
anymore and if the object will not remain available when one alt-tabs
away and back, one cannot complete whatever task one is trying to
complete using that particular control.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there something that can be done to
change this little quirk? I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, 1 Gb Ram,
Firefox 5, WE 7.5.1 and I use Microsoft Security Essentials for my
virus protection.
On a side note, did Mozilla take away the ability to increase the
Firefox cache above 1 Gb? I like to keep my cache large to minimize
the incidences of pages only partially loading and then jumping back
to the top of the page when one gets to the point in the page where
loading stopped. I tried upping my cache after upgrading and can't
seem to get it raised beyond 1024 Mb and I have definitely noticed an
increase in the partial loading problems. There is a lot I like about
the latest update to Window Eyes and the new version of Firefox, but I
am definitely noticing a few quirks, and aside from the continuation
of the Flash crash problem that has been plaguing me for quite some
time, these are the ones giving me the most trouble.
Thanks,
Chris
