Tony,
Regarding the sluggish speech performance, have you disabled audio
enhancements for your sound card? Instructions for doing so are
available at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee449413(v=ws.10).aspx
Regarding the issue of Window-Eyes disappearing, is this something you
can reliably duplicate?
Regards,
Steve

Hi,
I'v already done that too. Everything is up to date.
Right now while typing this message WE is lagging about 2 seconds
behind each key press. After a minute or two it will start keeping up
and then start lagging again. I've been a WE user for 8 years and have
never had WE work so poorly.

And the sad part is, you probably still have out of date drivers. If
you're having a problem, go to the manufacturer's website, don't count
on windows to do anything for you.

Hi,
I was just in the device manager checking all my drivers to make sure
the were up to date. and after having windows check for a driver update
I hit the close button and WE left the planet.
I started NVDA and finished what I was doing. WE never came back untill
I restarted my PC
This does become frustrating when it happens so often.
