Hi all!
I finally got Window Eyes installed in my Acer Aspire 7741. When I went
into Window eyes, I kept getting update notices! How Dense can one get? I
somehow realized by the afternoon that I only had 7.5 installed! I went to
upgrade site, got 7.5.1 and all seems to be well now! Even got hourly chime
announcement working!
Now to the problem at hand! I noticed in 7.5, the control backslash for the
Wineyes control pannel wasn't working! I got into the control pannel stuff
with alt tab! I think I still can do this! Once I upgraded to 7.5.1, I
could activate the control pannel from most anywhere so long as I was using
Wineyes of course (grin smile)! The new intraface is quite interesting once
I figure it out! I don't know what to tell you if you are still having
control pannel problems with control backslash if you are running 7.5.1.
This was solved for me!
Jim

Hi, That describes my situation as well. I can be at the desktop or in
Firefox, with WE in my SysTray, and pressing control-backslash does not
bring up the WE control panel. Using Windows 7 and all scripts
up-to-date.
Using Office 2010.
I haven't ventured into I e 9.

In my case I was at the desktop and had started WE just a few minutes
before. If you try control backslash you get the windows ding. If you
try
hitting enter on the WE entry in the system tray you again get the windows
ding. Only solution I have found is reboot the OS.

*Aloha,
Ditto for me.
When this happens, this is an indication that WE7.5 is running on it's
last leg, and the best thing to do is to reboot the computer.
My specs:
Dell xps 420 desktop
Intel quad core q6600
8 gb memory
64 bit windows 7 home premium
