We duplicated and improved this in WE 7.5.1. Are you saying that it is no better for you? Also it is notable that what we did in 7.5.1 was work around a MSAA bug in Outlook that was causing the problem.

The behaviour Window-Eyes has with respect to speech not being there
from time to time in Outlook 2007 has been copied over to Outlook 2003.

Although I have not determined a specific pattern what I have noticed is
that it happens most often during the following situations.

First in Outlook 2007 when opening up the application and when sending a
message where the spell check automatically comes up.

Second in Outlook 2003 when opening up the application and there are
Outlook Calendar reminders popping up.

Third when Outlook Calendar reminders pop up upon opening up Outlook for
both versions.

I have Outlook 2007 running on Windows 7 connected to a POP3 account.

Outlook 2003 is running on a Windows XP pro PC connected to an Exchange
server. I have set up my connection to the Exchange server to both use
and not use cached exchange mode.

When Outlook is using cached exchange mode speech stops less often,
which may imply that the delays caused by Outlook when connecting and
retrieving information creates some issues. This is when the hour glass
is there.

In both versions, ending the Outlook process brings Window-Eyes back.
